    Colossians  3:23-24

"Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving"

    PURPOSE OF THE MINISTRY:

A summer work program for the Youth of the church, ages of 14 to 16.  This program has granted many youth their first job opportunity, reduced idle time in the summer, and provided an opportunity to earn an honest wage.  The program usually funds between 10 to 18 youths per summer.  The time structure starts in the 2nd week of June for a six week period.  Various companies in the Lexington area provide the work assignments and our church provides the wages to fund the program.   It was named after the late Deacon Carl Brown who was a faithful servant always found after church ensuring the sanctuary was kept clean.
